Lincoln Schleifer, another native New Yorker, holds the title of Co-Producer on MAKANA. Lincoln has been an active member of the music industry for years. His outstanding ability on bass guitar has made him popular and kept him busy both onstage and in the recording studio. Lincoln has shared stage and studio space with such talents as Boz Skaggs, Phoebe Snow, Michael McDonald, Charles Brown, Warren Haynes and Patti Austin.
He has traveled extensively throughout the U.S. and in Spain, Europe and Japan. His talent and versatility has brought him together with musicians G.E. Smith, Roseanne Cash, The Four Tops, The Temptations, John Whelan and Bob Telson among others. Lincoln is equally comfortable and qualified as producer and arranger.
He shares arrangement credits with Clarence Fountain and Roseanne Cash. Lincoln has produced such talents as Tony Barca, Jean Bratmen, Charles Lyonhart, Maura McCabe as well as several CINEMAX pieces, radio jingles and film soundtrack credits.
Lincoln and Tony met in 1985 when he took over the bass man position in The Cyclone Rangers. His technique as a player and his wonderful ears as a producer have made him a highly sought after commodity in the music business. Through all the credits he has he is also still the A-team bassist in the Rangers. His rock solid playing is well showcased on MAKANA.
